WORLD PREMIERE! 

With audiences now returning to live performance in ever-greater numbers, Imago Theatre's Jerry Mouawad has kicked off Summer Triptychs, his series of three original theatre pieces. The first production, Julia's Place, is a timely riff on
Ionesco’s absurdist masterpiece Rhinoceros. His second installment VOICEOVER is a Pirandellian collaboration with Drew Pisarra with whom he collaborated on The Strange Case of Nick M. The final entry will be Mouawad's Lumen Odyssey, a surreal two-hander which promises an intergalactic subway trip to the outer realms of the universe and the inner abyss of the mind.

As for the currently upcoming show, VOICEOVER uses inner monologues in an extremist fashion to expose the muddled minds of a choreographer, his company of dancers, and a contrarian crew of jaded stagehands as the performers stop and
start a movement-based work that turns theatre inside out à la Pirandello. A collage of soliloquy, choreography, and theatricality, VOICEOVER pushes postmodern dance into circus hijinks as one unconventional cabaret act plays out in a hall of mirrors where the who, the what, and the where are ever-changing.
