Working with Covid-19 Safety Polices – Imago Theatre, 17 SE 8th

Updated 2/18/2021

 

1  Scheduling: Do not come to Imago unless you are scheduled or if you have emailed Carol or Jerry that you are coming, or you are a tenant of the building.  

 

2. Be informed: Imago can not provide you with the latest on how Covid-19 is transmitted,.  we can not provide on how to take of yourself for protection aside from what’s in this safety policy at Imago,   or how to get tested for Covid-19 and all other information, please use the website for the Center for Disease Control, and the local health and state information to inform yourself. Do your research.

 

3. Upon entering the building and existing the building.

In order to determine who is in the building when you are in the building and to provide information if there is someone that has been exposed to Covid-19 at Imago, we are requiring everyone to sign in and sign out when entering and exiting the building.  This will be a station at the front door off of 8th avenue. Please sign in and sign out each time you enter and exit. 

 

CONDITIONS:

  • Do not come to Imago if you are sick, unless you are sure it is not related to Covid-19.
  • Do not come to Imago if you have been around anyone that has tested positive for Covid, or if there is a possibility you have been around may have or had Covid. If you do have contact with someone that has Covid, then you need to quarantine yourself for 14 days prior to coming to Imago.
  • If you had Covid and are over it, get tested and do not return to Imago until you have tested negative. 
  • QUARANTINE YOURSELF IF YOU WERE AT A GATHERING WITH MASKLESS PEOPLE AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN EXPOSED. DO NOT COME TO IMAGO IF YOU FEEL THAT THE EXPOSURE WAS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO PERHAPS HAVE GIVEN YOU COVID. 

 

 

ENTERING THE BUILDING:

  • Wear a mask 
  • Use hand sanitizer station by each exit

 

 

USING THE RESTROOM:

  • Wash hand for 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • pray down any area you touched with sanitizer.

 

 

WORKING AT IMAGO: KEEP YOUR MASK ON AT ALL TIMES

  • Masks are mandatory for all times in the building, including directors, unless you are completely alone in the room, or you are part of a pod and the pod is alone in the room.
  • Pods should wear mask at all times unless no one is in the room that isn’t in their pod.
  • Social distance a minimum of 6 feet apart, 15 feet apart if being physical
  • Rehearsals should empty the room every 2 hours for 30 minutes.
  • Wear gloves appropriate to task
  • Don’t share equipment without sanitizing before and after
  • If working within 6’ of one another (even with masks) do not stay closer than one another for more than 10 minutes. Set a timer if necessary
  • Don’t do stupid stuff like share food, or forget we are in a pandemic.
  • Any food eating shall take place with 25’ distance from anyone else. Remove your mask to eat and drink, put on your mask after eating. Dispose of your trash. 
  • If you are bringing food for others in the building – place them in an area and tell others you have brought food (cookies for example) but don’t go around and offer cookies.

 

ACTIVITES and General Practices

For production – costume creation, scenic design, light hang, etc. Do your best to remain 6’ apart. If that is not possible, keep the time together less than 10 minutes as indicated. If you working on projects, set up your own work station at least 15’ apart from others.

 

First aid. Please apply your own bandages and take care of any medical needs unless it is dire.

 

Do not share tools and wear gloves if sharing tools.

 

If you know the state has issued new warnings that affect the workday, please take the information to the Covid representative.

 

POD Rehearsal Teams

If the directors of Imago has accepted your team in a POD for Roo! rehearsal. You must adhere to all Covid policies, until you are asked to remove your mask for working in your pod. When doing so, stay within your pod and at least 20’ away when without mask for anyone outside of your pod. When your rehearsal is over, or when you leave your pod area, put on your mask and follow all rules set forth in this document.

 

 

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

DUTIES OF DESIGNATED COVID-19 SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE: 

 

For each group that meets at Imago. The representative must email jerry to request a space and tell Jerry who is having a session at Imago.

Every workday or rehearsal must have a designated Covid-19 Representative to maintain the safety of the group that must be identified.

 

 

COVID-19 SAFET REPRESENTATIVE

  • Take all temperatures of anyone joining your session. Temperature must be below 99 degrees. Thermometer is kept in box office by front door on the first level. 
  • Look for symptoms of Covid-12 and separate any person showing signs of illness.  Ask them to go home and be tested. Inform all persons present that there is a potential Covid-19 infection and you will keep them informed.
  • HVAC should be left on 24/7 at 68 degrees. IF heat or cooling is not needed, keep on HVAC on auto fan.
  • For groups of 2 or more - All floors -  Keep least one window open with Fan in front of window, turn fan off close window when leaving.
  • Listen to grievances of anyone and give to administration and email to Jerry or Carol.
  • Review Covid allowance occupancies that are listed below and follow them, limit the number of people per room as indicated.

   

     

COVID ALLOWANCE – IMAGO VENUE,  January through March or until further notice.

  • 4  on stage (if not a pod, it’s 2 non-pod people)
  • 2 theatre seating
  • 2 in mezzanine
  • 6 in ballroom (if not a pod, it’s 2 non-pod people)
  • 1 in kitchen basement, 1 in basement shop, 1 in costume shop
  • 1 in office

 

 

COVID ALLOWANCE  – IMAGO VENUE, FULL CAPACITY DURING COVID BUT NOT ALLOWED UNTIL APPROVED BY ARTISTIC DIRECTORS

 

PER CDC GUIDELINES per square foot of areas – ALL WITH COVID MASKS

  • 16  on stage on designated floor areas (dance class with masks)
  • 8 theatre seating
  • 4 in mezzanine
  • 16 in ballroom main floor
  • 7 on ballroom stage
  • 7 in basement each open area
  • 2 in small shop room
